FIRST LOVE 2025
Wherever I live and work, I draw inspiration from my surroundings — from the colors and scents to the stories I encounter. Yet, time and again, I return to my first love: florals. Over the past thirty-five years, I have lived and exhibited in nine different countries. Each series has reflected what moved me in my immediate environment — from the rich traditions and untamed nature of Egypt and Saudi Arabia to the symbolism and vibrant energy of England and the United States. One theme has always remained a faithful companion: florals. They run like a red thread through my work, a constant source of beauty and emotion. Now that I’ve settled in Lochem this summer, I warmly invite you to discover this collection of florals. It feels truly special that my first exhibition back in the Netherlands is devoted to this cherished theme.
